Canyon Cinema is proud to be a community partner of CROSSROADS 2017, presented May 19th-May 21st at the Phyllis Wattis Theater by San Francisco Cinematheque and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art!

Founded by filmmaker Bruce Baillie in 1961, San Francisco Cinematheque is the Bay Area’s premier venue for avant-garde, experimentalunderground and personally expressive film and video work. In our steadfast dedication to exhibiting works of aesthetically radical cinema from all historical eras and geo-political locales, San Francisco Cinematheque celebrates the breadth and depth of this vibrant art form in all its myriad expressivities.

CROSSROADS 2017 is the eighth manifestation of San Francisco Cinematheque’s  annual film festival, to be held May 19–21, 2017 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern ArtCROSSROADS 2017 will showcase 60–70 new film/video works by emerging and established filmmakers, including performance and works of “live cinema.” The festival program schedule can be viewed here.
